Well those who are unaware, ChatGPT is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) chatbot developed by OpenAI and launched in November of 2022. After launching, within two months it crossed 100 million active users.

The founder members behind this successful startup 'openAI' are Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, Reid Hoffman, and Sam Altman. Current CEO is Sam Altman. OpenAI's main head office is located in California, United States.

The ChatGPT we are using today is GPT-3 which was actually launched in 2020. The next version GPT-4 is supposed to come which will have more advanced features one can think

While other social media platforms Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram took much more time to reach the 100 million active users milestone. TikTok had the record for fastest reaching 100 million users which took almost 9 months.

So, It indicates how popular ChatGPT is today and its possibilities of it in the future.

Problems

ChatGPT's most users are now students. They are using ChatGPT for their homework, and assignments which made the education institution authority worried. The thesis paper and research paper are now written by using ChatGPT. As a result, some schools have already banned this technology.

Today is the age of technology where Artificial Intelligence plays a big role. At present not only ChatGPT but there are also numerous chatbots out there competing with each other and developing every moment. Some other chatbots are Chatsonic, Bard ai(From Google), BingAI(From Microsoft), and Jasper chat. These chatbots are based on machine learning. It learns on its own. The more it absorbs information, the more it will mature.

Features And ability

ChatGPT can generate any type of article, jokes, big essays,  and even also poetry in response. If you ask it "Write me a poem about Bangladesh in Shakespeare style", it will promptly write the full poem all by itself.

Not only that, it can work computer code by giving a command just. You can ask it to write a story and the rest is history. Within a few seconds ChatGPT will write you a story.

Subscription

Today the daily user of ChatGPT is almost 9 million. As ChatGPT's user base is growing massively, it is estimated it costs 3 million per month to operate their operation with this huge demand.

So, OpenAI has decided to monetize some of that demand, In 2023, OpenAI launched ChatGPT Plus (a premium version) for $20 per month, which gives subscribers priority access to all new features, access to ChatGPT even during busy hours, and faster response times than the free version of ChatGPT.

Recently Microsoft has invested almost $10 billion in openAI. With this huge funding, ChatGPT will come up with many more features in the future. Microsoft is also using ChatGPT in its Bing search engine to dominate Google's monopoly search engine.

Conclusion

Technology has always been helpful for humankind. But it has many disadvantages as well. We should use this new technology with responsibility and with integrity.

That's all for today. Suggest to me if there are any mistakes or any things that could be improved. Thank you. {Ajmain Sourov}
